How To Plan For An Ancient Greek Wedding Theme
Most women, if not all, hope to marry the man of their dreams. So, if you are one of the lucky women who are doing just that, then you just might see your husband-to-be as one of the remarkable Greek gods. For your own wedding, why not go for an ancient Greek wedding theme? Now, do no think of your wedding to be like your ordinary Greek toga party held during college because this is certainly not the case. This is actually a popular misconception because of the usual Greek parties help by fraternities and sororities in just about any college. Although these parties are indeed fun in nature, they do not encompass the elegance of weddings. It is also because of this popular association that this wedding theme has been overlooked by so many people these days. Still, if you do take the time to consider this option, you just might find the perfect theme for your wedding.
Of course, when you are implementing this theme, you definitely have a lot of things to deal with. An ancient Greek wedding goes way beyond just the decorations of the environment. You also have to consider the aspects of appearance for you and your husband-to-be, as well as that of your guests.
Your wedding gown has to be patterned and designed in such a way that the ancient styles favored by the Greeks during their time would be properly manifested. There are so many tasteful designs that you can choose from. Have you ever seen sculptures of Greek goddesses, such as Aphrodite? Their delicate dresses can be used as patterns for your wedding dress. Imagine how timeless, classic, and elegant you would look! Complete your gown with simple wedding sandals so reminiscent of ancient Greek fashion, and you are good to go!
Try to find a facility that comes with pillars, so that you can get that Greek atmosphere for your wedding. But if you cannot find such a facility, you can then use Styrofoam to create your pillars. This is not as easy as it may seem, but with the help of friends and family, you can still capture that ambiance you are aiming for. You can also place Greek urns at strategic locations all over the room. These urns can be purchased at just about any craft store you can find. You can even purchase these online.
But if you really want that stellar ancient Greek wedding theme, then you should consider renting a fog machine. The presence of fog can add to that Mount Olympus feeling for your wedding. You can use the fog machine for your ceremony itself or for your reception!
Please help me with my dream?
I had a dream, I was talking to my grandfather about a rich man who is looking for a woman to marry, I wonder if I can be that woman. Henson is his surname, March 6 is his birthday. It is a fixed marriage but I pursued it. Henson is handsome, very rich and then visibly unemotional? the thing is I am his bride, but when I look at myself I don?t look like me I looked like another person, a native Filipina. I knew they were married when I saw the wedding pictures? Henson is not sociable unlike the bride, she has a large group of male friends? in the pictures they were lifting the female bride, similar to a cheering squad, the bride is very happy in the pictures. Henson is sitting on the side, it feels awkward that Henson is not sociable and he is very quiet and serious. The bride has a male best friend who is as emotional as she is and it seems that it is natural and not malicious to Henson when the bride and the best friend smacked. I had the feeling that at first, Henson is angry but then he comes to accept that his wife has a close male best friend? Honestly, it feels like the bride wanted to marry the best friend more than Henson.
Henson is intensely rich especially when he brought the bride to their new built house? mysterious Filipino-Spanish style of house, I haven?t seen the exterior? the house has Filipino-Spanish furniture, the astonishing part are the decorations because all of the decorations are authentic. Egyptian sculptures that are antique and paintings that are made by Picasso himself. Now the bride looks like me, and I am the one who is inside the house, I told Henson, ?Why just buy simple house decorations? I mean, we don?t need these expensive stuffs.? We are accompanied by a gay interior designer inside the house; the gay interior designer is the one who explains things to Henson. Henson is still unemotional, extremely logical no emotions even a single bit? the gay interior designer spoke to me regarding the expensive house decorations, ?So what darling? Your husband is so rich he wouldn?t mind buy all of these, he worked hard for his money it?s not bad to treat himself greatly.? I realized the interior designer is right, I remembered Henson gave me one million so I could help my family (it was just a dream but it is weird I remembered him helping me). I also remembered Henson helping me in financial matters to, he always does.
Henson gives me everything that I asked for, food, clothing, needs? except affection and compassion. He is logical and unemotional? not to mention intimidating. I don?t feel he loves me, he doesn?t show it, I can?t feel it? his face is handsome but expressionless. Henson told me to just ask for anything that I want and he?ll give it to me, he is going to work? I mean WORK? he is not interested in having fun and enjoying, he just wanted to work. Then I will have fun and enjoy all his money but I will enjoy it alone? because he is working.
The gay interior designer showed up and made me a tour to the luxurious house of ours. There was this cabinet made of fine glass? there were antique goblets that were kept in there, the cabinet has some problems with balancing and the whole thing looks very fragile. The gay interior designer told me that, ?Your house is quite far from the neighborhood? that?s why it would be very hard for you to even go to 7/11? that?s why Henson bought everything you need? you can enjoy 7/11 when you are bored during weekends.? I took a goblet made of glass inside the cabinet. Then I looked at the interior designer who is arranging saucers made out of blue glass, no cups though, just saucers? the saucers were about 20 pieces or more, the interior designer is holding all of them, trying to arrange them in one line? I was afraid at first, because he might drop one saucer and I bet that saucer costs a fortune. The interior designer skillfully arranged the saucers into one line? I started to admire him, despite his old age, he is able to arrange it perfectly without dropping a piece.
I really do feel that Henson doesn?t love me, YET? well what do I expect, it is a fixed marriage, we don?t know each other that much and Henson dominates everything. He wouldn?t open up either; he just works and gives money or something else. It would be hard for me to live in a luxurious house alone; it feels like I am going to be imprisoned into a beautiful cage.
(the chapter 2 of the dream on the next question. it seems that the dream has a different meaning towards the ending...)

Should I send him a message?
My ex boyfriend and I started seeing each other again this summer. We weren't an "item" or anything though. We didn't speak for about a year because of some stupid drama, we exchanged some harsh words...but we let it go.
We went on little dates and stuff the whole summer, this lasted from about...April-July and then he told me he had to move out of the city for work.
I was fine with it because he said he'd come back to visit and actually asked me to move with him...I said I'd think about it.
Anyways! All of a sudden he just disappeared, no calls...texts...nothing. Then I seen on Facebook (someone elses account, I didn't have him on my Facebook - deleted him along time ago.) that he got married...wedding pictures and everything! This was like...2 months after he disappeared!
So I sent him a message like...wow...congrats on your wedding. That's all I said, no friends request, nothing.
Instead of responding back, he sent a friend request. I accepted it and he hasn't said anything to me. What was the point of even adding me?
I have real feelings for him, he's always meant a lot to me. But he's married now... however, I just want to know what his whole game plan was...It will honestly take a lot off my mind!
I can't stop wondering what went wrong, what happened... It's easy to think he just played me...but he asked me to move with him, he bought me things, he was really trying hard to show that he changed.... he knows that he doesn't have to be amazing for me to talk to him...he was an asshole when I was dating him before lol...
My friends who know every detail to the story say it was my fault, I pushed him away. Because he didn't respond to my texts for like...2 days...so I deleted him off MSN (our only other contact aside from text, phone etc.) and they say he seen I deleted him and moved on...the weird thing is he ended up marrying his ex girlfriend who he said he was only with because he paid his bail...which makes me think maybe he did want to move with me but he thought I dropped him and went back with his ex...
I just want to know what the hell happened...
should I message him or no?
Well...he moved to another city. I'm sure his phone number changed.. we haven't talked since July.
