Choosing Unique Wedding Photography
Your wedding day is one that has been planned for a lifetime; a moment in time when all the planets align and time stands still. A successful wedding day - logistically speaking depends on the coordination of a variety of vendors all there to deliver their services to your specifications. They are all important from the music and food to the dress and flowers. But the one service that is provided on your wedding day that will continue to tell the story of your day for years to come is your wedding photography.
Wedding photography includes the capturing of all the moments of your special day from the preparation through the ceremony and reception. There are many different ways to photograph a wedding and, ultimately, the photographer and style of photography that you choose is reflective of your unique personality and the style of your wedding. If you choose wisely, you will happily share your wedding photographs for generations to come.
There is of course traditional wedding photography that follows a set pattern of formal, posed photography combined with photos taken throughout the ceremony. This style of photography has been seen for many generations and continues to be the most popular style of photography seen in wedding albums everywhere. But today s photographers are branching out and offering more non-traditional methods of wedding photography including candid photos and journalistic style photography.
Those brides and grooms who are interested in infusing some unique style into their wedding photography can do so easily by hiring a photographer who can capture your unique style through the lens of his camera. Choosing a photographer such as this is easier then ever with the advent of the Internet. Today s photographers can showcase their talents and creativity online where you can peruse through galleries in search of a style that fits your needs.
Digital technology has opened up the world of wedding photography even more by giving us the opportunity to make changes on the spot or enhance photos on the computer.
The wedding photography that you choose will forever define your wedding day to the generations that come after you. Choose according to what fits your personality and style and you will enjoy a lifetime of memories.
Wedding photography equipment?
I would like to take some photos at an upcoming wedding this next spring. I am new to photography and I am taking classes now on how to use my camera. What I would like to know is what equipment I will need. I will just be taking casual, practice photos and using this for a learning experience.
I have a Nikon D40 (I am thinking about getting a D80 or a D200), I have a 18-55mm lens, a 70-200mm lens and an SB800 flash (do I need a diffuser?).
I am considering purchasing a 70-300mm af-s vr lens.
What else do I need to consider? Thanks for your help!!!
I also have a tripod.

Wedding Photography Equipment?
I am getting into wedding photography and I have a Canon 60D with the kit. I'm not going to shoot a wedding with that lens of course, so I am saving to get the correct equipment needed to shoot different conditions.
ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS PLEASE:
First, I need to know which portrait lens is better for a crop sensor. My choices are:
EF 50mm f/1.4
(or)
EF 85mm f/1.8? [both from canon]
second, I have no idea what lens to choose for low light conditions for example in a reception. I would like some suggestions for any brand of lenses for up to 1k max. in price. (remember I have a crop sensor also)
Third, I want a wide angled lens 8mm or 14mm with a good speed for under $800 and can be any brand. suggestions?
Thank you for your help :)
