27 Jun 2008 at 9:06pm Day 131: Collapse
Unknown length - Jun 28, 2008Today was incredibly busy. I don't think I stopped moving... ever? I got up, pretty early, went downstairs and ate breakfast. Then I headed back upstairs and did a trial wedding hairstyle on myself since I'd slept in curlers to see how it would turn out. Not the greatest ever; I wasn't satisfied. My sister asked me to make her wedding cake topper out of flowers. I'd never made a wedding cake topper before... but I figured it out and made a lovely one. Heh. My sister and I did her makeup trial for the wedding day, to rave reviews. Pause briefly for lunch and a quick shopping trip to Target where I picked up my lipstick for the big day (ooh, shiny). I had a pounding headache and took extra strength tylenol which did precious little. Then the lady who made the custom bridesmaid dresses dropped off the five dresses... and mine and my youngest sister's (the other maid of honor, not the bride) didn't fit . Since the other three girls would be over the next day (only two days before the Big Day), we wondered whether or not more of the dresses would be ill-fitting. Eek. The whole while, I was steadily plugging away at jewelry construction. Two prototypes since the beginning, I had a fully green-lighted design. I finally finished the 5 necklaces and pairs of earrings after dinner. I then wrapped up the cards and presents for the bachelorette party the next day and scurried into the basement to secretly put my sister's wedding photo project from me together. Finally... I was done. Late. My boyfriend passed out before I could talk to him on the phone so I passed out on the bed almost exactly like this. Bachelorette party and wedding rehearsal and dinner were the very next day... And kudos to you if you read this whole damn thing. 6/12/08
