How should we settle my brake off engagement?
okay so i called off my engagement. i was in a relationship of 6 years with a guy who cheated on me before and i had taken him back because he promised me he'll never hurt me again. A few months after our engagement i found out that a girl stayed with him at his hotel room in Vegas. She was leaving him messages and all. When i confronted him about that specific girl , he lied to knowing her meanwhile she was in his phone book under a guys name.
with that said i dealt with it for 5 months because i did not have the strength to do anything about it because there were to many things involved like building a house, and family. Unfortunately in that state of mind i went along with putting down a deposit on an expensive wedding hall. One night he was out late again not picking up his phone till about 6 a.m and I completely had it with him and left his ass. It's been a month now and I have not spoken to him and can not get a refund on the deposit from the wedding hall. So, how should i settle this with my ex ? i wanted to ask him for half back but now thinking to get the full amount back from him. What do you think i should do and how should i address it? I want to be as civil as i can.
I am completely done with him, however i want at least half of the deposit back. i left the ring because i wanted to leave with my head up high and not having anything of his and i definitely do not want to involve lawyers on this too. Originally we planned to go 50 50 on the wedding costs. I put down 7,000 grand on my side for the deposit. so should i still contact him after the deposit and say " what do you want to do on the deposit?" If he says nothing then i will leave it at that and not lower myself and bother with him.

An idea for an outfit for new year's eve party?
I'll be attending a party on new year's eve. We will be about 20 people (but in a wedding hall, not at somebody's home) and it will be with fun games so I cannot wear a dress with high heels. I wanted to wear some jeans or dark thight pants with a strapless (two palms above knee lenght) shirt and maybe a belt or a necklace..and heels? another option would be ugg's but they are a little unappropiate for such an event, right?
please just tell me your ideas (but something with jeans)...thank you!
btw, I'm 17 :)
