A few simple guidelines for making speeches at a wedding
Wedding speeches are there to congratulate the newly wedded couple, thank the people for coming, and wish the couple in their new life together
Speeches are give after a meal and before cutting the cake
Speeches are given by the best man, bridegroom, and the giver away of the bride.
First speech / Giver away of the bride. He would talk about the bride, praise her, and tell stories of her childhood. They would welcome the groom to the family, welcome the guests to the wedding, and purpose a toast.
Second speech / the groom. This is on behalf of him and his new wife. He would thank the parents for all their support and express how happy he is. He may want to say how they met. Thank friends and family for being there. Thank the best man and all the people who played a role. Then purpose a toast to the pageboys and the bridesmaids. The bride may want to speak here if she wishes.
Third speech / the best man. It is to be funny, light hearted, make a few jokes and tell a story on the groom. Everyone present on this special day would be thanked, and best wishes would be given to the newly wedded couple for their every happiness in the future. He may want to read any cards and speak on behalf of people who are absent. Then he would announce the cutting of the wedding cake.
Planning a second wedding. Help??
My husband and I got married almost 4 years ago with a nondenominational faith with only witnesses there. There was no romantic proposal, big dream wedding or being walked down by my dad. My husband just proposed to me again, but this time it was perfect. Now, I want to plan my wedding but as if it was my first. Any suggestions on how to approach this with engagement announcements, wedding invitations?? I would like to try and have some explanation to why the new wedding...

renewing wedding vows?
My husband and I are planning to renew our wedding vows. I am planning a second wedding ceremony for the occasion. Just because he said I could. I have a few questions considering this ceremony.
1. Can I still have attendants such as matron of honor?
2. Can I wear a veil with my wedding gown.
3. Do I have to have it in the same place as the original wedding?

I need cool, unique ideas to help plan a second wedding for my mother-in-law.?
My mother-in-law has asked me to help her plan her second marriage. It will be a small, backyard wedding. Close family and friends only and they dont have a huge budget. I want to help out in any way I can, so any ideas to make it simple and romantic would be greatly appreciated.
BTW....it will be in Charlottesville, VA so if you have any local ideas that would also be helpful.
