I'm going to a wedding in Puebla, Mexico. What would be appropriate attire for this event?
The bride & groom are Mexican, and the wedding is Catholic. The ceremony starts at 9 (!) in the evening. I'm assuming the sun dress type of attire that is prevalent at California weddings wouldn't work in this situation. Plus I'm assuming that in a church I should have my shoulders covered (??). I've been told that Mexican weddings are very formal...but are we talking a Joan Collins Dynasty type sequined get up or Jackie O-ish skirt w matching jacket and hat? Or something else entirely....? Is black ok?
