Medieval wedding invitation wording - Can you help?
We're having a medieval wedding, and I've been looking over my DIY invites for weeks, only to find a repeat of a form of the word celebrate. The text is below, can you give suggestions to replace either, "celebrating" or "celebration"? I need your suggestions ASAP. Medieval wording a plus, best suggestion gets best answer!
------------------
Wife Full Name
and
Husband Full Name
request the honor of celebrating, in thy kind and noble presence, their joyous celebration of marriage.
Date
Place
etc.
------------------
Grammar issues can also be addressed. Thanks!
edit: would love to see the word "merry" in here someplace. also, fyi, we are printing these in script on natural paper and sealing them with wax.
second edit: i've scoured the internet myself, so i don't need a copy and paste from someone else's site. i like my wording and i am just looking for another word for celebrate. thanks!
third edit: wow, i didn't realize i would hit a etymological nerve. i should have better phrased myself to start. we're having a modern-day, civil wedding, in a nearly 800 year old German fortress. I wanted some medieval touches to my wedding just to tie in the venue. My guests are just close family and friends and are not history buffs. All I need is a synonym guys. Thanks to "iloveweddings" who is the first to give an answer I was looking for. Thank you to the others for the eye-opening answers.

Medieval wedding invitation wordings?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to work out a nice little invitation wording for a medieval-themed wedding. We have hit a few snags along the way.
I wanted everyone to have a cute, fake title for the guest list and invitations so everyone feels important and period-like. My problem is what to call the wives of military men (who are retaining their ranks for invitation/guest list purposes). Should I just call the wives "Lady"?
If it is written as below (names changed of course), do I even need to give the wives a title?
"The honour of thy kind and noble presence is requested at the marriage of Lady Annabelle, daughter of Captain Ulrich & Mabel Bedevere
to
Sir Reginald, son of Lord Charles and Lady Genevieve Ingels
at the ____venue___ in the kingdom of ___city___ in the year of our lord twenty eleven on the 18th day of June."
Anyone know the etiquette of this?
My brother told me to change it to "Captain & Lady Bedevere" but that still sounds like it's missing something...
