I'm in charge of planning a friends wedding!! Help!!?
So, my friend's maid of honer lives all the way across country, so, I've been handed the job of planning her wedding!
This will be the first wedding I've ever even gone to. Not to mention, I don't even know if I know this girl well enough! We were good friends a couple years back, but just kinda separated when we got in college.
How do you "plan" a wedding? What do I need to know? She deserves a fairy tale wedding, I don't want to mess this up~!
She can't afford a wedding planner. And she outright told me, "I want you to plan this. You're so much better at all this stuff than I am".

Why won't my Fiance talk about setting a date and getting married?
I have been with my fiance for 9yrs and have been engaged for 4yrs(!). We have an adorable 2yr old and another on the way but my fiance will not talk to me about making any plans or even setting a date for our wedding. He has always been a bit phobic of commitment, I proposed to him (on a leap year) after a couple of years of being together and he turned me down, but then went all out a few years later to propose to me in a very romantic way, on holiday, posh hotel, over dinner, down on one knee, had asked my Dad's permission etc!
We came very close to booking a venue last year after I had put my foot down and set a date for 2010 but after he demanded 'a bottom line' cost as we were being shown around the venue, which they were not able to give due to catering requirements etc the booking was never made. He has become increasingly distant about even talking about weddings to the point where he just gets angry and refuses to even have a basic conversation about it saying that "there is too much pressure to talk about it, not pressure to actually get married, but just to talk about it"!?
I don't want/need a big fairy tale wedding, but having a celebration of us being husband and wife is really important to me and I want our growing family to be exactly that, a family. I don't know if it is me overreacting or if I maybe should be concerned, but it is really starting to get me down and make me resentful of friends and family who seem to be able to get engaged organise a wedding in MUCH less than 4yrs +
I'm sure I will be told to 'talk to him about how I feel', but I have tried this and he just gets angry and frustrated to the point where I dare not ask him for another few months and when I eventually do we just start this whole cycle again!!

Need advice concerning my mother! What would you do in my situation?
My mother can't seem to get a life. She and I are both are recently engaged I got engaged and she got engaged two weeks later. Both of our fiances are ministers. Is this another coincidence? Now that we set a date she decided her and her fiance will marry on the same day. Is this like a joke???? So me and my fiance will just elope. It's ashamed we can't have our fairy tale wedding! WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN THIS SITUATION
