Wedding Speeches - Vital For Success
The wedding speeches are vital to the success of wedding ceremonies. They are the big moments when the guests will either laugh and cheer - or yawn and look at their watches. So it is important that the speaker crafts his speech by knowing what to say and how to say it.
The wedding speeches must have the following characteristics:
1. Sincerity they must be heartfelt.
2. Humor they must tickle the whole audience without offending anybody.
3. Flow there must be smooth changes of subject
4. Impact there must be great openings and endings so that you can make an impact.
The order of the speeches is as follows:
1.The bride's father's speech includes a toast to the bride and groom.
2.The bridegroom's speech responds to the father of the bride's speech, and includes a toast to the bridesmaids.
3. The best man's speech is a response on behalf of the bridesmaids, and should be lighthearted and humorous.
In planning the wedding speeches, you can start by finding a link between the groom and key events. You can, for example, also mention if there are some key events in history that took place on the same day as the wedding. Look for a great opening or ending.
Others can also deliver wedding speeches. In wedding speeches, the three traditional ones come from the father of the bride, the groom, and the best man. There are other speeches which can be given by the maid of honor, best woman, and bride.
The toastmaster or the best man should call upon the bride s father to propose a toast of health and happiness to the newlywed. Before doing so, he would welcome the groom s parents, relatives of both families any other guests and welcome the groom to his family and say a few things about his daughter.
The groom replies on behalf of himself and his bride, thank his parents for their love and care during his younger years and for their good wishes for his future and his wife. He will also take this opportunity to thank all those present for their gifts. If there were any close members of the family who could not attend the wedding because of illness, they should be mentioned and be wished for a speedy recovery.
As conclusion, the groom will propose the toast of the bridesmaids, and thank them for a job well done. He may also present them with a small gift as a token of their appreciation.
Want to have a Destination Cruise Wedding to Hawaii!?
My fiance and I have been engaged for 2 years this December and we're ready to be married. We've gone through alot of stuff (such as moving, post-poning our fully-planned wedding, trying to buy a home, living with relatives, etc..) that has really disabled us to be able to get married. At this point we've both decided that eloping seems like the best choice for us. Going to Vegas has crossed our minds, but we have been wanting to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon for a long time. Also, at one point we had planned to go on a caribbean cruise for our less expensive honeymoon.
The alternative? A destination cruise to hawaii!!!!!! (Or perhaps some other caribbean/atlantic/pacific island)
We aren't going to have much money and are looking for the cheapest prices. Does anyone have any suggestions or alternate ideas that could help us out?
Any helpful advice would be appreciated! Thanks :)

As parents of the bride and groom how much will it cost us to join them on their Disney cruise Wedding?
Our son's fiance has her heart set on a Disney Cruise wedding. They will be cruising to an island where the ceremony then will be held.Unfortunately as a couple they are not real big on communicating exactly what's planned. We can't seem to find any info online about how much it will cost the parents and other guests. Are guests included in the deal or is the amount the bride and groom pay just for themselves? We don't really want to ask them outright just yet. I don't want them to think we might not attend if it's too costly. What other options are thereso that the guests could be present for the ceremony? Could the parents fly out for just the ceremony and return the next day? ( They will be honeymooning at Disney World on the way back!) Any info would greatly be appreciated.

What Do You Think Of This Wedding Gown? And Would It Be Suitable For A Beach Wedding?
After questions from my boyfriend about honeymoons, I got bored and decided to look up wedding gowns. I found this gorgeous gown that I absolutely love. I've always dreamed of a beach type wedding, or at least on the water, perhaps a cruise ship.
What do you think of this gown? And would it be appropriate for a beach or cruise wedding?

Also, I'm not getting married any time soon. Just day dreaming.
I actually love love the sleeves.
My theory is that this is the closest I'll ever come to being a princess, so I want a poofy and frilly dress.
I normally don't like dresses. So for my wedding I want to be dolled up.
I would love love love to get married in Ireland. Hell, I want my honeymoon in Ireland, but the boyfriend doesn't really think it's honeymoonish.
