Go for joking or irrelevant bridesmaid gifts to ease the tension and let your pals know you haven't become a total bridal Barbie just because you are getting married. Picture frames, journals or monogrammed bridesmaid gifts are all great ideas. Often all the bridesmaids receive the same gift, they only exception being the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids serve many purposes including helping keep the bride relaxed and focused on her wedding day. Remember, your bridesmaids have known you through all the good times as well as the not so good times. So take care of the girls and they'll take care of you. Have a great time on your wedding and choose gifts that fit with the personality of the girls.
Bridesmaid gift for odd man out...?
I had planned on purchasing earrings for my bridesmaids to wear at my wedding. I just recently found out one of them doesn't have her ears pierced. I don't want to do clip-ons for her because they hurt. I still want to get my other bridesmaids the earrings, but I don't know what to do for her.
Should I pay to have her hair done? But then, I don't want other bridesmaids getting upset that that's not what I got them.
Please suggestions! Also, not anything outrageous. This bride-to-be's on a budget! =D

Side note: Can't do necklaces because their dress is cut high in the neck.

What do you think of this idea for wedding attendent gifts?
This is more for the bridesmaids gifts than groomsmen since I know my fiance wants to do something special for them. I was thinking of gathering little things every now and then when I see a sale at Bath and Body works, Victoria's Secret, and Beauty Supply stores in the area. I was going to put a little gift basket together for each bridesmaid that will have a matching nail polish to go with her dress and mani/pedi set, grooming tool set, scented lotions, hand soap, small sewing kit, and a gift card to get nails done. Of course we will write each attendant a nice heartfelt letter in a card to thank them for everything they've helped us with throughout the year preparing for our big day. Does this sound ok? I don't want to get them a monogrammed towel or something like I've seen given to people in bridal parties before. I've gotten monogrammed things from brides before and I just don't understand the importance of it. The bridesmaids are all choosing out their own dress styles. So far, 2 of the 5 already chose their dresses, and they both have a one-shoulder strap dress with a broach accent that gives them enough umph that they don't need a necklace. That was my other idea for gifts.

What are some gifts you've received? Did you like them? What would you have rather received if you didn't like it?
Just trying to get ideas. I've only gotten a gift once when I was a bridesmaid and it was a picture frame and a handkerchief.
